What a Week!

We have had quite the week over here. It has been stressful, emotional, and rewarding! Last Saturday, Jacob had a Febrile Seizure. For anyone who doesn't know what this is, it is a seizure caused from a sudden spike or drop in body temp. It is actually quite common, about 1 in 25 kids will have at least 1 before their 5th birthday. Knowing this did not make it any less scary though. There is nothing worse for a parent than watching their child turn blue before their eyes and being helpless to do anything about it. Thankfully, his fever came down fast and broke later that night. Not until after 1 trip to the doctor and 1 to the ER. We are all doing much better now. I spent the rest of the week preparing for a party to celebrate the 50th anniversary of my grandparents! I designed a cake, made brownies and cookies, and put together a slide show for them. It was a lot of work. I had lots of help though and it was worth everything in the end. We had a wonderful day together as a family to celebrate this special day. Another good thing was that I FINALLY got my poor violin to the doctor and got it fixed!! Woo hoo ME! It's only taken a year. I've been borrowing my lovely friend, Karina's violin this whole time and she might want it back someday. It has definitely been a rough week around here, but we are doing much better now! We are celebrating Jacob's birthday tomorrow (2 weeks early) in order to have my parents here!!
