Jacob's first birthday!

Jacob's first birthday was a blast! It was fun watching his reaction with all the family and stuff going on. He was hesitant to eat cake, but once he took the first bite, he was shoveling cake in his mouth til the plate was empty. We bought some balloons for the party, and he loved playing with those too. Iwill post more pics and videos soon. I wanted to start out with the cake pics.

Jacob's swing set

We recently fixed up the swing set that was in our backyard for Jacob. We replaced the swings, and a few of the boards. We also added a few extra boards for reinforcement. It used to sway back and forth in the wind, but now its nice and sturdy. As soon as the weather clears up we will have some pictures of Jacob playing on his new toy here.

Love of my Life

I have a new love! This wonderful new addition is now my most favorite tool! The FIRST thing I am using my Kitchen Aid Mixer for is bread. I have never been good with bread, but I had all the ingredients in the cupboard already. I was sick at work today and came home early. I REALLY REALLY wanted to play with my new toy, but I rested first. My second project will be Jacob's 1st birthday cake tomorrow! In case you didn't know, my baby is turning ONE this Saturday! More to follow on that milestone. Thanks to Daddy for getting me this mixer! I've been wanting one for FOREVER!
