Christmas 2009
We had a great Christmas this year! Of course, every year Christmas is wonderful, but it was especially awesome for me this year because I was able to host Christmas at our home! I planned the day for weeks beforehand and it paid off because everything was exactly how I wanted it to be. Jacob was not interested in opening presents, he wanted to climb on them instead. Once they were open though, he enjoyed them. Jacob was having fun taking my brother Matt's presents and hiding them. We got Jacob a toddler bed for Christmas which was a huge hit. Getting him to actually sleep in it was a little tricky the first night, but he's doing pretty well now. I got to pull out my fancy Christmas dishes, complete with goblets for Christmas dinner. We had ham with a raisin sauce (Dustin's family recipe), 3 cheese potatoes, salad, cheese balls, cookies, veggies, and an amazing fruit trifle for dessert. Thanks to Mom and Grandma B. for helping me with all the food and details! I spent 2 weeks baking all kinds of new cookie recipes, as well as homemade caramels which is the last picture you see here. We really had a wonderful day together!
