2 Months Old

My baby is two months old now. I can hardly believe it. It seems like just yesterday I was hugely pregnant and dreaming of when Jacob would be here. Now I never even remember my dreams because I'm so tired. Anyway, today we had Jacob's 2 month old check up. Here's the stats: 13 pounds, 5.5 ounces, 24 inches long and 40 cm head. That puts him int he 90th percentile for weight, 75% for height and 50% for head size. All in all, he's getting BIG!! I swear Dustin must be feeding him meat and potatoes while I'm at work. It's exciting and he is starting to get more interactive. Unfortunately, reaching the age of 2 months also meant that he had to have some vaccination shots. My poor baby doesn't feel very good and I feel for him. I wouldn't like getting stabbed in the legs either. Here are a few pics that we took on his 2 month birthday, June 18th.

Funny Thing

Jacob just discovered that his bouncer chair has a fun toy on it! He thinks this is the funniest thing ever made. I love to see him smile and hear his cute laugh. I am amazed at how much he changes each day. Every little thing is an adventure and a new experience for him. How I was blessed with such an amazing little miracle, I will never know.

Friends and Family

Here are some more pics from our trip to Cali.

Here is me and my baby at the beach

Here is Jacob and his Grandma Workman

This is why people don't want to have twins...Jacob is 2 weeks older than my cousin, Paityn. He weighs about 3 pounds more than her. She is taller though.

Here is Grandpa Workman with his 5 great-grandsons. Liam, Lucas, Logan, Trent, and Jacob.

Trip to Cali!

We just returned from our awesome trip to Lompoc! It was too short, but we really enjoyed ourselves. We loved showing off our baby boy to anyone who wanted to see him. Jacob handled te traveling fairly well for an 8 week old. We did learn a valuable lesson about traveling with kids though. They need a lot more breaks than adults. Jacob was cranky a lot more than usual and I know it's because he was strapped in that stupid car seat for 16 hours. On the way home, he decided in about Mesquite that he had just had ENOUGH! He screamed, fussed, screamed, and fussed some more until we pulled over and got him out, then he was fine. I tried to get in the back seat with him, but that made me car sick. So Dustin got back there with him, but Jacob was crying and that made me cry. So I got back there with him again and thankfully, the road was much straighter, so it didn't make me sick again. I sang to Jacob and put my hand on his little forehead and he eventually went to sleep. Thank Heavens! We got home just before midnight. We definitely learned some good lessons on this trip.
