Jacob got his hands on a late Christmas present for my parents this weekend. Seeing how it was partially ripped in transit, I just let him open it the rest of the way. He probably had more fun with the paper than any of the rest of us.

First Haircut!
We gave Jacob his first haircut this weekend. He now looks butchered, as a real boy should. Cutting the hair of a 9 1/2 month old child is not an easy task. Even with distractions and Dustin's help, it was a challenging endeavor. Thank heavens, the kid won't remember any of this.
Here is the "before" shot. Jacob has been really sick all week with a bad cold/flu bug and he looks really beat up. Plus, he has been pulling himself up on everything so, he's getting cuts and bruises too. Poor little guy.

Musical talent
Okay, maybe he's not a child prodigy, but he sure is having fun playing the piano. He is so curious, so interested in everything around him. He is keeping mom and dad on their toes at all times. If we take our eye off him for a few seconds he ends up in another room. We have 80% of the house child-proofed, but we have to barricade the office to keep him out of trouble.
