Today we had a nice outing with our friends, Rachel and Michael. We decided to pack a lunch and go for a ride up in the mountains above Wallsburg and it was a BLAST! We were all worried that it would rain on us, but it was really a perfect riding day. Thanks to Kristen and Aaron for watching Jacob for us! I was surprised to see how much damage the rains have caused this year. Roads that were just laid down with gravel road base last year have washed out completely. Not that this is any problem on the 4 wheelers, but it makes things more interesting. It was a great ride!
This was about where we stopped. It was pretty rough and we didn't want to get ourselves into something too crazy.

I absolutely LOVE wildflowers. This one was a flowering tree of some sort but it had these really pretty white flowers all over it. I'm a sucker for little flowers.

Having lunch. I was looking for a nice place to have lunch, but none really stood out to me, so this log was our lunch area.

Dustin and I hiking.

A view of the valley from where we hiked.

Rachel and Michael. I'm especially a fan of the goggles.

Me, showing off my mad hiking skills. Granted we only hiked for about 100 feet. I'm not much of a hiker, as you can see.

Our hike. It was much steeper than it looks. Trust me.

Only in Wallsburg will you see this. A lifted Limo with fatty tires and Coors Beer Mud flaps. WOW.
